The Riverdale Hospital, through its professional staff and volunteers, delivers complex continuing care, including activation services, on the 50-bed Neuro-Muscular Support Unit. The Riverdale Hospital serves people who have a confirmed diagnosis of MS; an unstable or progressive stage of the disease; and the level of care they need that cannot be met by the community. Patients with MS are also seen in the Day Treatment Hospital. Patients are encouraged to remain connected with their respective communities. The Riverdale Hospital will provide care for patients who cannot live outside a hospital setting. We also provide respite care. (The Riverdale Hospital welcomes inquiries and referrals from agencies and individuals that serve the MS patient group.)
