Vocational Assessment / Evaluation

  • Canadian Paraplegic Association
    Provides four specific services: career counselling, job placement and development, an employment peer support program, and a technical assistance laboratory. In-home service is also provided for coaching in resume writing and interview skills.

  • COTA - Comprehensive Rehabilitation & Mental Health Services
    Team members will provide functional capacity evaluations in the workplace for clients with MS. In addition, they can assess for and provide adaptive or assistive devices to improve function in day- to- day activities in the workplace.

  • Providence Centre
    Provides assistance to patients and residents in resolving vocational issues, through the use of vocational assessments and evaluations, employment counselling, environmental controls and adaptations.


  • Toronto Rehabilitation Institute
    Access to vocational assessments / evaluations.

  • West Park Healthcare Centre
    Occupational therapists can perform pre-vocational assessments (physical appraisal and evaluation of work behavioural skills) for West Park clients. The therapists can assess and provide for adaptive/assistive devices in the work place and made appropriate community referrals (e.g. Vocational Rehabilitation Services).
